I have to say that pet photography is my true passion. It seems fitting since I spend every day with them during my full time job as a veterinary technician. I have donated my photography services to New Hope Dog Rescue, SCAT Street Cat Rescue, Saskatoon Parrot Rescue and Saskatoon Dog Rescue.
I love taking photos of pets in their own element, where they are happiest, most comfortable and can just be themselves. This way I can provide my clients with photos that they will forever look back on and remember their pets the way they were every day. I take mostly candid photos, and usually don't ask them to "sit and stay" unless I need to. Instead, I grab their attention with something they love to get their true personality and expression. I also highly encourage the humans to be in some shots, too!
Locations that work best can be their own home or backyard, a dog park, or in studio. I recommend choosing your home for cats and birds, or the studio if you have a very laid back pet. If your dog does an activity, see my Animal Sports portfolio. I've photographed flyball, agility, herding, rodeo, barn hunt, lure coursing, and chase ability, and always adding to the list.
